ECKA Granules – The Key to New Technologies

ECKA Granules is an international leader with its three high-performance sectors Alloying-, Metal-Powders- and Application Technology. Our direct proximity to customers can be seen in our global network with over 18 production plants and 35 sales offices with technical service. This guarantees "first-class service" for providing commercial and technical care to our customers, top-quality products and a smooth delivery service.

The production programme encompasses the manufacture of non-ferrous metal powders from the pure metals of aluminium, magnesium, calcium, copper, tin, lead, zinc, silicon and their alloys. The products are supplied as powders, granulates, finished mixes, pigs and pellets.
Per business year we produce, handle and process approx. 70,000 t aluminium, 19,000 t magnesium, 25,000 t copper and a significant number of tonnes of other non-ferrous metals.

The production processes include grinding and pulverising, electrochemical deposition, air, water and gas atomisation to granulation from the molten mass, liquefaction and a range of recycling processes. This ensures that the customer has all types and sizes of powders and granulates at his disposal.

The development team consisting of highly motivated and qualified staff from ECKA Granules invests great energy in the development of new products and application-based improvements in conjunction with universities and strategically managed projects. This leads to new market opportunities for our customers in the automobile, electrical engineering, electronic and IT sectors as well as the chemicals and shipbuilding industries and medical engineering.

The innovations can be found in the ready-to press blends ECKA BROMIX® and ECKA ALUMIX®, the lightweight building materials such as Alulight®, a new type of material made of foamed aluminium and ECKA TIX, a magnesium granulate for the new technology of Thixomolding. ECKA DISCUP® is a copper granulate offering a much higher strength, heat resistance and service life during welding, and with TEGOSTAR® a new environmentally friendly slide bearing material has now become available to customers.
