Carl Eckart founded a small "gold beaters shop" in Fürth/Bavaria.

1918

A bronze powder plant started its production in Güntersthal/Bavaria.

1929

Aluminium powder production was set up in Güntersthal/Bavaria.

1940

Dendritic copper powder production was started in Pommelsbrunn/Bavaria.

1945

The total factory of the Güntersthal area covered approx. 600.000 qm and 200 production units.

1969

"ALBA Aluminiumhütte Bahrain" was founded.

1970

"Mepura Metallpulvergesellschaft Ranshofen/Austria" started its production of atomized aluminium powder.

1972

Bahrain Atomisers International was founded.

1974

"non ferrum, St. Georgen/Austria"
Producer of aluminium, magnesium, alloy powders and granules, was acquired by ECKART.

1981

Plant Wackersdorf/Germany - ECKART built one of the most modern aluminium melting and atomizing plants.

1991

"C. DORN, Trautenfurt/Germany", a producer of dendritic copper powder was incorporated completely into the ECKART group.

1992

„ECKART AUSTRIA GmbH St. Georgen/Austria” was founded as a holding of the ECKART Granules group.

1992

„Poudmet, Sénécourt/France”, producer of water atomized Copper, Tin, Lead powder and their alloys was acquired by ECKART.

1993

ECKART started the production of water atomized copper powder in Ekaterinenburg/Russia trough the joint venture with "UEM-ECKART GmbH".

1993

ECKART acquired the company "Aluma, Fridolfing/Germany", a producer of magnesium and calcium powders and granules.

1994

"BAMCO/Bahrain" was founded, a producer of primary aluminium casting alloys and master alloys.

1995

ECKART acquired "MÉTAC, Biblisheim/France", a producer of secondary aluminium granules.

1996

Spill the business of ECKART into the operational areas "PIGMENTS" and "GRANULES".

1998

ECKART GRANULES acquired the Australian production of "COMALCO", a producer of atomized aluminium powder, pellets and paste.

1998

ECKART GRANULES acquired "Th. Goldschmidt AG, Essen/Germany", a producer of tin powder and plain bearing. The company is managed by ECKART-Poudmet/France.

1999

ECKART Austria started a joint venture together with SHW (Schwäbische Hüttenwerke) and founded "Alulight^®". Target: combined activities in the areas R&D, production and marketing of metal foam semi-finished products.

1999

ECKART GRANULES founded sales offices in North America and Japan.

1999

Co-operation between "EUROTUNGSTENE POUDRES, Grenoble/France" and "ECKART GRANULES".
Target: sales and distribution of diamond tool binders.

2000

"non ferrum GmbH, St. Georgen/Austria" started the recycling of scrap from the Die Casting Industry for the production of magnesium alloys.

"non ferrum GmbH, St. Georgen/Austria" acquired the atomizer of "Exoterm" and founded "non ferrum Kranj".

2001

ECKA Granules has been formed as an independent company.

2002

ECKA Granules founded a sales office in Shanghai/China.
ECKA Granulate acquired MicroMet GmbH/Hamburg/Germany.

2004

ECKA founded "ECKA Granulate Velden GmbH".
ECKA Japan opened the "Tenryu" Factory.
ECKA opened sales offices of Breton Investments Ltd. in Essen/Germany and Bermuda.
ECKA founded a joint venture with Brüggemann Chemicals.
ECKA acquired "HOYT Alloys" from the british "HOYT Darchem Group".

2005

April: BE-Zinkgranulate GmbH - Start of the production in the new plant "Velden".
ECKA opened a Sales office in São Paulo/Brazil.
ECKA founded ECKA Granules Nanotechnology bv in Weert/Netherlands.
ECKA started a joint venture ECKA-Tongdu Metal Powder (Tongling) Co. Ltd located in Tongling City, Anhui Province/China.
ECKA took over the complete production facilities of BSA Metal Powders Ltd. and formed "ECKA Granules Metal Powders Ltd." located in Birmingham/UK.

2006

January: ECKA Granulate Velden GmbH - Start of the production of "red metal cast house" with four product lines.
ECKA founded "ECKA Granules of Asia Pvt. Ltd." located in Singapore.
ECKA opened "ECKA Granules GmbH (Bangkok)  representative Office" located in Bangkok/Thailand.
ECKA founded "ECKA Granules International Trading (Shanghai) Co. Ltd." located in Shanghai/China.
ECKA founded "Non Ferrum (Shanghai) Co. Ltd." located in Shanghai/China.
ECKA purchased land and existing plant facilities from Federal Mogul Power Train Inc. for the US based production of ECKA^® non ferrous metal powders in Orangeburg, South Carolina/USA.
Dec: Commissioning the second stage of the expansion of the magnesium remelting plant at St. Georgen/Salzburg/Austria.

2007

March: ECKA opened a Sales Office in Taipei/Taiwan.
March: ECKA acquired Hydrex Materials B.V./Netherlands from Outokumpu/Finnland. Hydrex is a producer of non ferrous profiles which are manufactured with a hydrostatic press.
March: Start of all new production lines for the manufacture of dendritic Cu-powders in Trautenfurt/Germany.
April: Complete manufacturing of ECKA Sil-shield^® products in Trautenfurt/Germany after a transfer from the production equipment from Weert/Netherlands to Trautenfurt/Germany.
